Thank you, thank you, thank you...

What an amazing weekend! 30 AWESOME vintage trailers attended.  What a wonderful turnout for our first year!  We're already talking about details for our 2nd ANNUAL Inland Northwest Vintage Trailer Campout.

It was so great of all you to attend.  You made the 1st Annual Inland Northwest Vintage Trailer Campout a HUGE success!  Each and everyone of you and your trailers were a major part of the weekend!  What an awesome group of people!

We had such a great time meeting all of you and seeing your wonderful trailers!  I loved each and every trailer (and owner)!  It was a great weekend of visiting, eating, playing cribbage, and "touring" the trailers.

Hopefully you all had a good time this weekend and will consider attending again next year.  We are working on figuring out the exact date, but will try to keep it very close in timing.

If you have any other suggestions or comments about the weekend, please shoot me an email, I would love to hear from you.

Again, thank you all SO MUCH for coming!  We hope to see you again!

Please check back soon, as I'll post some pictures!

Three more days!

We were just at the campground working on the layout for this weekend!  We're getting pretty excited to meet all of you and your trailers!  Last minute shopping for supplies tomorrow, prep-work Thursday, and fun times Friday!

Don't forget to throw your yard games in your trailer.  There just might be some impromptu bocce, bean bags and croquet!  Maybe even a game of cribbage and backgammon thrown into the mix!

Oh yeah...don't forget about the $10 trailer related white elephant gift exchange!  We got our gift already, some lucky person will be happy to get it!
See you on Friday!

Planning, planning, planning!

Summer is under way, so that means we are busier than ever trying to get all the camping in!  There are so many places to go and so many fun things to do that it's hard to fit it all in.

Even with all the camping and playing, our Vintage Trailer Campout is taking shape nicely.  We are getting more and more RSVPS (don't worry, there's still room for all of you who haven't RSVP'd yet!).

If you have any ideas or suggestions for events/social hours for the campout be sure to email me.  We are looking forward to meeting everyone and their campers and are open to any suggestions of some fun things to do at the campout.

We are in the works of putting together some nice welcome bags with area info for all the attending campers.  Your bag will contain some great places to eat and shop while visiting the Newport area.  The Pend Oreille County Fair is also happening the same weekend.  So if you are up for a little drive (about 20 minutes from the campout) you can check out the local 4-H projects at their finest!

If you are planning on attending and have not let me know you are coming, please email me so I can put your names on the list!  inwvintagetrailers@gmail.com Thanks!  See you in August!

Event Postcards

Camping season is here and the camp trailers are happy to be in use again!

We've had some postcards printed up for the event in August and would love to have them out there for the world to see!  If you would like to have any postcards mailed to you to hand out to your friends or at other vintage trailer events let us know!  We have plenty to mail out!

Shoot us an email with your address and we'll stick them in the mail!  Thanks for your help!

Aloha, Airstream, Shasta....Oh my!

We have had great response so far to our campout in August!  We have some Vanguard, Aloha, Santa Fe, Airstream, Kodiak, Dalton and Shastas signed up!  What type of trailer are you planning on bringing?  We'd love to see more of the same as well as some others.  All styles are welcome!  Bring your trailer over, we'd love to see it, no matter what condition it's in!

Please shoot us an email if you plan on attending so we can add you to the list!  Hope to see you there!

Event Registration

There are no official registration forms required for attending our campout.  All we need from you if you are planning on attending is an email saying you are coming!  In the email, please let us know how many people and how many trailers.  You can send the email to inwvintagetrailers@gmail.com.

We are looking forward to a great weekend of meeting all of you and your trailers!  We've had great response so far, so we are anticipating a good turn-out for the weekend.  Hope to see you there!

Where are you Spring???

The sun was shining, the snow was melting and birds were chirping…so we got the Dalton out of winter storage last week!  Then the inevitable happened…we woke up to more snow this morning!

Before the snow hit us again, we did have our first camping trip of the year last weekend.  It was great to be back in the trailer!  I’m looking forward to getting our awning ordered from Marti’s Awnings and new curtains made for all the windows.

Spring is right around the corner with more camping on the horizon!

More info....

We love vintage trailers and wanted to organize a fun weekend for others who love their vintage trailers!  This campout is not affiliated with any specific group.   We would love to see Shasta, Scotty, DeVille, Aristocrat, Airstream, Spartan, Silver Streak, Teardrop, Aljo, Aloha, Aladdin, Oasis, Dalton, Kenskill, Corvette, Jewel…and anything else we have left out!

Any and all are welcome!  Whether your camper is glamped out for Sister’s On The Fly, in all-original condition, a ground-up refurbishment, or anywhere in between, we would love to see you.

There is no charge for the weekend.  There will, however, be donations accepted to help cover the cost of the weekend.  Camping is available Friday night through Sunday night, August 16-18th, 2013.  We will be organizing a potluck dinner for Saturday evening with hamburgers, smokies, buns and toppings provided. We will also be providing a group breakfast for Sunday morning.

There will be a few prizes handed out during the weekend.  Some prizes will be for: the trailer that traveled the furthest, the oldest trailer, and a people’s choice award.

Hope to see  you all there!

Venue

The campout will be held on the West side of the Newport City Park.  This will be dry camping with port-a-potties and hand washing stations.  There are water spigots available for communal use.

The park has plenty of trees for shade and a wonderful area with green grass and a children's play area.  The park is right in town, so it is a short bike ride or walk downtown.  Plenty of cute little shops, boutiques and restaurants, as well as a local museum.

Save the Date!

The date has been set for our first ever Inland Northwest Vintage Trailer Campout!  We will be holding the campout August 16th - 18th, 2013.

We will be camping in the cute little town of Newport, WA.  Newport is located in Eastern WA about 1 hour North of Spokane, WA and about 60 miles South of the Canadian border.
